Top 3 movies: Aliens, Christmas Vacation, Game of Thrones (not a movie but with 8 seasons it is my favorite series by FAR)

A bit about your family: Blended family with husband Mark, proud mama of 2 boys and 3 step children, plus 7 grands! Family is EVERYTHING to me.

Favorite food: Lasagna

Thing you’re scared of: apparently its walking a 5” plank above the city (SARAH!) in virtual reality

Worst habit: Being very hard on myself

Dream vacation: Travel Europe for an extensive period of time

employee spotlight photoA Junior Loan Processor at Ridge Lending Group, Drew Weikum has been with Ridge Lending Group since July 2020. On a daily basis, Drew assists the Senior Loan Processors to help close loans as quickly and as smoothly as possible. Learn a little bit about Drew today.

What brought you to RLG: Family member that works at RLG and the desire to learn as much as I can about the industry.

What do you like most about working at RLG: I love that RLG feels like one big family.

Hometown: Portland, Oregon.

Hobbies: I have way too many hobbies to list, but a few include woodworking, modifying cars, motorcycles, and playing guitar.

Book you’ve read over and over again: The last book I read multiple times was Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.

Top 3 movies: Oceans Eleven, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, School of Rock.

A bit about your family: I live with my wonderful girlfriend, Madison (who is also with RLG), and our two cats Moose and Buffalo in the heart of SE Portland.

Favorite food: Ramen.

Thing you’re scared of: Drowning.

Worst habit: Cracking my knuckles.

Dream vacation: Egypt. I want to see those Pyramids!

Kyla Riggins employee spotlight

A veteran at Ridge Lending Group, Kyla Riggins is the Operations Manager who has been with us since March of 2014. Kyla is our jack of all trades and oversees all aspects of our operations. Kyla began her career as a processor and came to RLG looking for a change from underwriting. Here is a little more about Kyla:

What do you like most about working at RLG:  Our staff, team environment, love and respect for each other, and our genuine desire to help people achieve their individual goals.

Hometown: Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Hobbies: Family time, reading, and watching football.

Book you’ve read over and over again:  Harry Potter nerd. 😊

Top 3 movies:  Harry Potter movies, Top Gun, and It’s a Wonderful Life.

A bit about your family:  I have a 23-year old daughter in the medical field, and two dogs:  Apollo the chihuahua (my daughter’s dog – I am not his biggest fan) and Finn who is a Border Collie/blue nose Pitbull mix – he is the sweetest animal ever and always under my feet.

Favorite food: Mexican.

Thing you’re scared of:  Spiders!!!!!!!!!!!!  Hate them.

Worst habit: I talk way too fast 😉.

Dream vacation:  Four weeks 😊 spent in multiple locations: Ireland, Greece, Bali, and Spain.

A member of Ridge Lending Group since August 2019, Marta Weikum was referred to us by a friend and is now part of our team as an Underwriter. Each day Marta qualifies borrowers for mortgage loans by reviewing documentation that has been submitted to underwriting. Here is a little more about Marta:

Hobbies: cooking, spending time with family (not a hobby but that’s what I love doing the most in my spare time)

Sarah Carbery has been a member of the Ridge Lending Group team since March 2012 and works as our Prequalification Docs Manager. Sarah ensures all the documents our clients need for the prequalification process are in order and makes it as seamless as possible for them. Here is a little more about Sarah:

What do you like most about working at RLG: The team of people I work with.

Hometown: Portland, Oregon.

Hobbies: Music, Sports (Football & Hockey), and Traveling.

A bit about your family: Proud Momma of a 13-year-old boy – going on 20. Our family is spread all over: Oregon, Washington, California, Hawaii, Arizona, and Oklahoma. My family is everything to me and wish I could see them all more often.

Favorite food: Currently anything loaded with Roasted Veggies. Typically, I swing towards anything Asian or Italian.

Thing you’re scared of:  Spiders.

Worst habit: Being too hard on myself.

Dream vacation: I would take a couple months off. During the first month, my son and I would hit as many scenic bypasses and national parks as possible. In my 20s I did a 3-week, 14 state road trip and it was AMAZING. The second month would include an extensive trip with my son all over Japan and South Korea.

Favorite cocktail:

  1. My ultimate special treat is a Super Tuscan from Tenuta San Guido, called Sassicaia. (Varietal: Sangiovese. Region: Bolgheri, Tuscany, Italy.)
  2. Otherwise, my go-tos are a good IPA or well-made Margarita (no mixers).

LaTanya Moody

A new member of our team, LaTanya Moody has been with RLG as a Senior Loan Processor since September 2020. LaTanya communicates with RLG’s customers and business partners, analyzes loan documents, and ensures files make it from prequalification to the closing table with the help of the junior processing team. What brought you to RLG: The Universe aligned us together.

What do you like most about working at RLG:  The family environment and teamwork are second to none.

Hometown: Baltimore, Maryland.

Hobbies:  Love sports (Go Ravens!), bowling, shopping, and traveling.

A bit about your family: I have three beautiful young ladies I take care of (two daughters and my niece). Very family oriented.

Dream vacation:  To travel to all the destinations on my whole bucket list. If I had to choose just one: a private island out of the country.

On a daily basis, Amelia says she acts as “human spackle,” filling in the cracks and working as a “jack of all trades.” Learn a little more about Amelia today:

What brought you to RLG:  Came for the job, stayed for the team.

What do you like most about working at RLG:  Caeli is a wonderful boss and mentor. She can be tough, but she is always your biggest cheerleader.

Hobbies: I enjoy indoor gardening and collect rare and unusual succulents.

Ridge Lending Group Employee Spotlight – Madison Boscole

Madison Boscole

A new member of the Ridge Lending Group team, Madison Boscole has been with RLG since October 2020. Madison is an Executive Assistant who found her way to RLG by virtue of some members of the team that she knew prior to working with us. On a daily basis, Madison is responsible for curating Caeli’s daily schedule and answering borrowers’ initial questions about lending. Here is a little more about Madison:

What do you like most about working at RLG: Working with people who value and support their colleagues like family.

Hobbies: Painting, sewing, playing the ukulele, and cuddling my cats.
